MESSAGE FROM TOM MILLER, CEO:

If you, your family or friends have been touched by cancer, you already know:

We must find a better way.

IC-MedTech was created by relatives of cancer victims. Our mission is to find better drugs for the treatment of cancer and to support them through the rigorous process of clinical study and FDA approval.

In 2004 we began development of Apatone®, a broad spectrum anti-cancer treatment for use with chemotherapy. While I am proud to say Apatone is through the first phase of clinical study, the process is slow and fraught with many bureaucratic pitfalls. We are now working on the next phase of clinical study, but the sad reality is, it will likely be years before it eventually gets to the patient bedside.

In 2006 we expanded our research and are working with several strategic partners for development of new polymer compounds which compliment the effects of Apatone. We believe LCP's (Liquid Crystal Pharmaceuticals) such as Apatone and Tolecine™, are a new frontier which, when properly applied, represent a breakthrough in drug development.

In July of 2007, the FDA granted orphan status to IC-MedTech for the active moiety represented by Apatone for treatment of stage III and IV inoperable bladder cancer. This is a very important milestone. Apatone is the first IC-MedTech LCP to receive orphan status and it's only the fourth drug ever granted orphan status by the FDA for the treatment of bladder cancer.

Our origins are rooted in philanthropy, but as a "for proftit" entity, we continue to support and to work toward the National Cancer Institute's goal of eliminating suffering and death due to cancer by the year 2015. Achieving this goal will not only take more effective drugs, these drugs must also be available and affordable for patients in need.

IC-MedTech cares and we're doing everything we can to support innovative and practical cancer drugs and cancer research which can realistically help meet this goal. Thanks for visiting our website and I encourage you to consider supporting institutions involved in this very promising area of research.
